Bigelow/Cornay CV

The Cornay and Bigelow joints are fairly similar in design and function. Both are comparable to a 1410 series joint in both physical size and strength.

Unlike a conventional Double Cardan joint, the Cornay & Bigelow joints deliver a true constant velocity through their entire range of motion. The Bigelow will flex to 37 degrees prior to binding. The Cornay will flex to 30 degrees prior to binding.

The Bigelow joint was originally manufactured using Cornay technology. The Cornay joint is currently built using an improved design for the center pivot points. While we still have ample stock of the Bigelow joints, they are no longer in production. The Cornay joint is in current production.

Either drive shaft may require replacing the out-put flange/yoke on the transfer case to one that will allow for installation with a mating flange. We have this flange currently available in 10, 26, 31and 32 splines. This will allow for easy installation in almost any transfer case such as the Atlas, New Ventures 231, 242 (front only) New Process 203, 205, 209 Dana 18,20 and 300.
